ultra.VIOLET: Advanced Mach-10 Racing
An audio demo in 256 bytes for x86-64 linux — May 2017
Learning from our many mistakes during the production of Cutting Ducks is Undesirable, Suricrasia Online began development on a brand-new audio demo with the goal to be several orders of magnitude smaller than it's predecessor.
Using a recently developed technique known as "all assembly -- all the time," our demo sadistically pushes the limits of what the 64-bit ELF header can handle. Yes, this ELF is crammed full of code, but with enough space leftover for a cheeky easter egg string!
Also included in this release is a so-called "sick wicked cool" NFO file, as well as heavily annotated source code. Click the links in the sidebar for a zip, the github repo, a recording of the demo on soundcloud, and it's entry on pouet.
Without further ado, we present ultra.VIOLET: Advanced Mach-10 Racing!
